The Quirky Tale of April Hale A Romantic Story eBook Cathy Octo
Wonderful! I fell in love with April Hale as she dipped her toe into the sometimes highly emotional pool of teenage romance. Quite an accomplishment for a girl with Asperger's as they have a difficult time with emotion and social interaction which the author portrayed very convincingly. Kudos to Cathy Octo for finding April a boyfriend who saw beyond her quirkiness and accepted her and her syndrome but also showed us his frustration at times...just like real life. This was a sweet, funny, heartwarming but sometimes sad tale of teenage love that was a delight to read despite the occasional "quirky" grammar. I agree with another reviewer that English did not seem to be the author's first language. A good edit would solve this and keep the reader from wondering if what was said was a grammatical error or April's quirkiness shining through.

The Quirky Tale of April Hale A Romantic Story eBook Cathy Octo Reviews
I found out abou tthis book via Wattpad and I'm really glad that I did. The book is mostly funny and fun to read, but there are also a few sad parts that brought me to tears. I loved every second of reading it and I would recommand it to any teenager/young adult who likes the romance-humor genere. Definetley one of my favorite books.
Unlike any other I’ve read before. Has humor and romance and doesn’t make it cheesy. Can’t wait to buy book 2.
I love this story so much it shows the true struggles of being different and mentally challenged. I feel like it puts all those cliches to shame. It truley is beautiful, sad and quirky tale. And I love how the author shows humor in this too, even though its hard to show light in hard situations. She comprimised the moods in the story well. This book is one of my most favorite books ever. ITS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
In The Quirky Tale of April Hale, there are complexities within this book especially with the characters. I absolutely love that! I love the fact in each chapter, the reader learns a new aspect or detail with them. It's relatable but in an original and fun way. Again, the details are impeccable with the characters, settings, and structurally written. I can not emphasis enough of how much this story has relates towards myself and others.
Thank you, Cathy for sharing this lovely story! Thank you!

I first read this book on wattpad and I absolutely loved it both the times I've read it. I'm so glad that I bought it, I always loved the story and I'm so excited for the sequel on wattpad.
I picked this book for it's quirky title and the possibility of a quick read. I got much more. Experiencing the story from an Asperger diagnosed teen was an eye opener. Though I have known a few people with this moderate level of diagnosis, I have a new appreciation for the communication and socialization hurdles. This is more than a YA tale, rather a story with struggles from a perspective not often explored in this everyday type of narrative context.
April lives next door to a Hi-Five hunk. Their houses are so close that she can hear all the fighting that goes on. As Ryder and his father argue, Ryder happens to see April watching them. The next day, Ryder apologises to April for everything that she's heard through the years. However, April was so frightened that she fainted. Because of April's Asperger's, she reacts differently to situations. Ryder took April to the nurses's station and April wakes up hearing Ryder trying to talk to her. April's twin brother makes sure that April's all right. Ryder and Quentin don't get along, so Ryder hides. April doesn't realize that this is the beginning of a new relationship. Would Ryder stay with her or would he leave?
